Our journey with Paws and Path

Paws and Path began as a family company, run by a mother and daughter who deeply understand the challenges dog owners face. Our mission is to make life easier for those struggling with their canine companions. We believe in training with love and exclusively use positive reinforcement methods. Having personally navigated the complexities of training a service dog and working with reactive dogs, we know how demanding it can be. We strive to be the trusted company you choose to partner with for your dog's training needs.

Our core beliefs and values

At Paws and Path, our core belief is to ensure that every dog in our training feels as safe and loved as they do by their owners. Ultimately, we want to see happy dogs thriving in their environment. We continuously monitor their behaviour to ensure they are feeling secure and flourishing. Our goal is to build a community that understands the powerful bond between humans and dogs, fostering deeper connections through positive training experiences.

Our experience and unique approach

I pride myself on a spiritual approach, carefully observing a dog's reactions and using their energy to determine the best training methods. For instance, some dogs have a high toy drive, which we can leverage for training, while others are more food-motivated. We tailor our training to each dog's individual needs and respect their feelings. We are also fully insured and trained in animal first aid, ensuring your dog's safety and well-being at all times. We do not discriminate by breed and specialise in working with reactive dogs, as well as providing owner-based service dog training for those who require assistance.

"Due to medical and mental issues, I required my own service dog prospect, Phoenix. There have been challenges, but his willingness to learn and follow commands led this puppy to learn 'sit' in a couple of days. This was achieved by observing his energy and listening to his communication."
